Things are back to normal on the University of Northern Iowa campus, after a suspicious bag prompted a shut down of the Cedar Falls campus Tuesday morning (July 28, 2015).

The bag in question was found outside, near the Maucker Student Union.

As a precaution, the Waterloo Police Bomb Squad was called out to investigate, and the campus was closed to all personnel around 7 a.m.

However, upon investigation, it was found that the bag was full of audio-visual equipment.

After making that determination, the emergency tape was taken down, and the situation was deemed over by 9:30 a.m. The university resumed normal operations an hour later.

It was not revealed who was the owner of the bag, or why it was left unattended.
