
Wanted Man Found Hiding in Pile of Garbage
After receiving a tip, authorities have located a man wanted on assault charges.
At about 1pm Wednesday (July 26), the Fayette County Sheriff's Office acted on a tip, and arrested 40-year-old Jeremiah Larson, outside his rural Oelwein residence.
Larson had been found, hiding in a pile of garbage.
Larson was wanted on three Fayette County warrants for Domestic Assault, a Probation Violation, and 2nd Degree Theft. He now faces additional charges of Possession of Prescription medication without a prescription, and Interference with official acts.
Larson is being held in the Fayette County jail without bonding, pending an appearance before a magistrate.
The Oelwein Police Department assisted Fayette County authorities in the arrest.
