As we prepare for more snow in the Cedar Valley, the City of Waterloo is preparing too. The city has declared a Snow Emergency set to begin tonight, January 25th at 7 pm, and run though Tuesday January 26th at 3 pm.

During this time, snow routes are in effect and residents are encouraged to move cars off streets to allow snow removal crews to clear city streets and improve snowy roads.

Waterloo residents and people who work in Waterloo are reminded that trucks spread salt and sand. It's vital to maintain a safe distance of at least 50 feet from snowplows. Please be courteous and allow our crews to do their work safely.
