A Huge Vendor Market is Happening in Eastern Iowa This Weekend
Get ready to shop! "Eastern Iowa's hippest market" is happening this Friday and Saturday!
When it comes to vendor, flea, and farmers' markets, the state of Iowa has a TON of them. It's hard to pick a favorite, but if I had to, I would say that the Good Makers Market is one of the very best. The Good Makers Market is a huge vendor market that takes over the Cedar County Fairgrounds in Tipton twice a year. The spring market takes place Memorial Day weekend, and the fall market happens the weekend of Labor Day.
The Good Makers Market features over 150 vendors that are hand-picked from across the Midwest. They sell clothing, plants, jewelry, vintage goods, pet supplies, bath products, home & seasonal decor, furniture, candles, kitchenware... pretty much anything you can imagine! And you can enjoy live music, food, and beverages while you shop. This coming market includes vendors like Stonewall Brick Oven Pizza, Smiley's Soup & Sandwiches, Bearded Jackal Street Food, Lugo's Gourmet Popcorn & Lemonade, Barnstorm Coffee, and more. You can check out a full list of vendors at the event HERE.
The fall Good Makers Market will take place this Friday and Saturday, September 1st and 2nd. Friday's hours are from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday's hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $10 per person (kids 14 and under are free), but parking on the fairgrounds is free. You are also welcome to bring your pups, as long as they are leashed and you clean up after them!
My tips for the Good Makers Market are to give yourself lots of time to shop and plan to spend more than you initially wanted to. There are SO many awesome vendors, I've never been able to stick to my budget. For more information about the final Good Makers Market of 2023, you can check out the official website HERE.
