This afternoon, Sunday, shortly after 1:00 pm, the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office and Waterloo Fire and Ambulance responded to the 1400 block of W. Dunkerton Road on reports of a crash, this according to a press release sent to this station from the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the report, 29 year old Jessica Wygle was operating her Jeep Patriot was pulling out of the parking lot of the North Iowa Juvenile Detention Center off Dunkerton Road, while another motorist, 27 year old Austin Scribner, who was driving a Chevy Impala west on W. Dunkerton Road was struck by the driver of the Patriot, who failed to yield as they were exiting the parking lot.

The driver of the Patriot was transported to Allen Hospital in Waterloo for non-life threatening injuries by the Waterloo Ambulance. Stephanie Morrison, 23, from Cedar Falls was also transported to Allen Hospital for minor injuries.. There's no word on if weather was a factor.
