‘Antiques Roadshow’ Will Film New Episodes in Iowa This Summer
If you think you have something in your home that could be worth big bucks, 'Antiques Roadshow' is the place to go! A new article from the Des Moines Register says that the longtime PBS series will be filming some episodes in Iowa later on this summer.
'Antiques Roadshow' is described as "part adventure, part history lesson, and part treasure hunt." During the one hour program, specialists from across the country offer free appraisals of all sorts of art, antiques, and collectibles. You never know how much something that you found in your attic or at a flea market could actually be worth! According to the PBS website, 'Antiques Roadshow' is the network's most-watched ongoing series. Just last year, there were about five million viewers each week! The show first got its start in the U.S. back in 1997.
Urbandale, Iowa will play host to 'Antiques Roadshow' on Monday, June 10th of 2024, and the city will be featured in three episodes that are set to air in 2025. The only way to get into the show is to enter an online ticket sweepstakes, which must be submitted no later than Monday, March 18th. The drawing will happen in late March and winners will be notified in early April. You can fill out your application HERE. There are also a few tickets being given away on Instagram, which you can get more details on HERE.
