International Women's Day is March 8th and this year it falls on a Sunday.

It also happens to be the same day the Chicago Blackhawks face off against the St. Louis Blues at the United Center.

So to make herstory, NBC Sports has announced that the broadcast crew, production crew, and studio crew will be all women.

The game is set to air on NBCSN with Kate Scott serving as the play-by-play announcer, former U.S. defenseman A.J. Mleczko performing the color analyst duties, and current Team USA hockey star Kendall Coyne-Schofield serving as the "Inside the Glass" announcer during the game.

The in-studio coverage will be handled by Kathryn Tappen as anchor, along with former Canadian hockey star Jen Botterill as the in-studio analyst.

I’ve been broadcasting for 17 years and yet the very first broadcast I did with a female producer was just two years ago,” Tappen said in a statement. “The fact that we are celebrating International Women’s Day with an all-female broadcast and production team tells me how far we have come in a very short time. We hope our broadcast will help inspire young women watching to follow their dreams.”

Coverage of the game is set to start Sunday, March 8th at 6pm on NBCSN with NHL Live.
