As the sports world gets ready to focus on the Super Bowl this weekend in Las Vegas, former Cyclone and current 49er quarterback Brock Purdy is about to be squarely in the spotlight. And that is exactly what one leading automobile maker is banking on.

The Des Moines Register reports that Toyota has signed Brock Purdy as the company's first national partnership with an active football player since the automaker struck a deal to be the official vehicle of the NFL last October. Purdy even gets his own signature commercial which will air during Super Bowl 58 on CBS this Sunday.

The Register reports that Purdy and Toyota were familiar with each other. The QB had previously signed a deal in 2023 to appear in regional advertising for Toyota in Northern California. But this new deal will take Purdy nationwide! Former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning has also reportedly signed a deal with Toyota,.

Purdy may get a lot more endorsement offers if he can lead San Francisco to a Super Bowl win over the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday. His journey from Mr. Irrelevant to starting quarterback, to a Super Bowl-winning quarterback would no doubt launch Purdy's fame to another level.
