After being subjected to a hailstorm of criticism on social media, a Welsh bus company has pulled a mobile ad campaign featuring topless models holding signs over their midsections with the slogan, “Ride me all day for £3.“ (That’s about $4.68 in U.S. dollars, and the models were both male and female.)

“Whilst being a little tongue in cheek, [the slogan] was in no way intended to cause offense to either men or women…If the ad has done so, then we apologize unreservedly,” New Adventure Travel said in an online statement yesterday. “Given the volume of negativity received, we have decided to remove the pictures from the back of the buses within the next 24 hours.”
