It's legendary, isn't it? Campbell's chicken noodle soup! So is their cream of mushroom... or there's tomato, that's a good one too! But what's this about Campbell's Soup not being available here in Iowa anymore? Well, it's not quite what you think.

While those soups are iconic for sick days, cold winter nights, or just lunchtime, the folks at Campbell's are making a big change, resulting in a product that will be a little different.

Campbell's Soup is Going Away?

So, when I tell you Campbell's Soup, which has a 155-year history as rich as its French onion, offering will soon be making a pretty major change...

...a name change.

Soon, Campbell's Soup will be simply known as Campbell's. The company, according to CNN, is set to ixnay the "soup" from its title. Pending shareholder approval, the company will be known as Campbell's Company going forward.

While you may question the decision, it makes sense when you dig into the reasoning for why the company is done with being all about soup.

Aside from being a soup maker, Campbell's Company is also the company behind Goldfish Crackers, Snyder’s of Hanover pretzels, Cape Cod potato chips, and maybe most famously, Pepperidge Farm, among others.

The company also purchased Sovos Brands. They are the maker of Italian food brands like Rao’s sauces.

Sorry for the scare, Campbell's Soup... erm, Campbell's Company is doing well with their snack line growing by 13% last year. At a slower rate, its soup line increased by 3%.

If you're up for a healthier snack, you can always snag some apples for an area apple orchard!
