Unfortunately the Coronavirus pandemic has caused another Cedar Valley business to close it's doors... for now.

According to KWWL, the Cedar Bend Humane Society has announced that have closed their doors due to concerns over COVID-19. This means that no more adoption appointments will be made at this time and decisions will be reviewed on a weekly basis. When it becomes safe, no contact adoptions will become available for limited adoptions which means the entire process will be done over the phone.

Other services offered by the Cedar Bend Humane Society such as owner surrender and pet redemption services are still available by appointment only and PAWS pantry recipients must call ahead for their packages. The rest of the services are postponed at this time. Lost or stray animals can be reported to Animal Control Services in Waterloo and Cedar Falls. At this time, fundraisers and other events that can occur online are still encouraged.
