What’s Happening?

This Saturday, June 29th, the public is invited to join in on the fun from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM. For just $5 per person, you can enjoy a showcase of Studebaker cars that range from the early 1900s to 1966, the year the last Studebaker rolled off the production line. Tony Urich, a passionate Studebaker enthusiast, shared his excitement with us. Check out his full interview below:

Special Highlights

One of the highlights is the famous Studebaker car from The Muppet Movie. Kids and adults alike can see this iconic car and even sign their names on it. It’s an interactive way to connect with automotive history.

“We have what was in The Muppet Show,” says Tony. “Kids can come and sign their name. It’s just going to be pretty awesome.”

More Than Just a Car Show

In addition to the car displays, there will be a swap meet for those looking to find unique parts and accessories for their vehicles. Food stands and entertainment will keep everyone satisfied and engaged throughout the event. Tony emphasized the community aspect during our chat, “It’s not just for those who already have the cars. It’s also for people looking to make their cars unique or better. There’s a swap meet, loads of entertainment, and ice-cold drinks and great food.”

Tony Urich’s love for Studebakers started early, “My dad had Studebakers all his life. My first car was a Studebaker that I fixed up. I’ve always loved Studebakers.” He hopes to inspire the next generation to appreciate and maintain these classic vehicles. “It’s tough because modern electronics on cars are awesome and with Studebakers it's all about carburation, but Studebakers are great to work on. You open up the hood, and there’s a lot of space. It’s just a great thing.”

The event is more than just a celebration; it’s a community gathering. If you’re interested in joining the Studebaker Drivers Club or learning more about these historic cars, there will be information booths available. “Come on in. We’re always looking for new members,” Tony says. “We want young people to take over because the age group is getting advanced.”
