Despite saying for years that the social network would not create a “Dislike“ button, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed during a Tuesday Q&A session that his company is finally creating one.

However, the exact form that button will take is still up in the air.

“What [users] really want is the ability to express empathy,” Zuckerberg explained. “Not every moment is a good moment.”

Facebook previously avoided creating a “Dislike“ button because he feared that it would promote negativity on the site. “That isn’t what we’re here to build in the world.”

Well, he obviously hasn't been on social media much, because people love to vent and complain just as much as they love to draw attention to themselves, usually by way of selfie. A button that straight-up says "Dislike" admittedly will cause a lot of problems, but you know it will be used a lot more than the "Like" button.

Here's a sample of the things that will likely get Dislike-button-blasted, which is not as easy to do as ignoring the post but a lot easier than typing a snotty comment:

* Anything political you don't agree with
* Anything religious unless you are deeply religious
* Anything that tries to be funny but isn't funny (I am guilty of these posts)
* Those motivational posters you share (we get it, life's great, kick some butt today, blah blah blah)
* Fishing for compliments (unless you really like the person and compliment them anyway)
* Anything involving a sports team you cannot stand (the Packer fans I work with are on notice)
* Unsolicited porn
* Grammar/spelling corrections (even though they deserve it, learn proper English people it aren't hard)
* Anything your ex posts that isn't how much they still love you and want you back
* Selfies (we get it, you look good today, see "fishing for compliments")
* Excessive sharing of stuff from the same person to the point it spams your feed
* Anything blatantly asking you to like or share it
* Overly negative status updates (hitting a dislike button on these will be the ultimate irony)
