It will be the thing future lifeforms look at our civilization and wonder "What the Hell was wrong with these people?"

First of all, why? You might need to know the gender of the baby for you own personal reasons, but if they weren't there when the thing was conceived, they can wait until it comes out to know the gender. Also, can you be any more thirsty for attention you're already getting for having baby in the first place?

Thankfully, most reveals that go wrong only kill or injure someone dumb enough to be related to the parents-to-be. But just do a search and you'll see that these are begging for your dumbest brother-in-laws' only contribution to the equation. Why is the reveal always left to the guy who can't fix a leaky sink, but suddenly wants to combine fire, and physics to an enclosed space?

There's a guy who is now dead after an over-the-top gender reveal went horrifically wrong in Mexico on Sunday.

Video posted online of the event shows a Piper PA-25 flying over the party and releasing pink smoke to signify that there's a girl on the way from the lucky couple standing by a sign that says "Oh Baby."

The video shows the plane's left wing suffering a catastrophic failure as it passed over the group.

The plane falls from the sky out of frame, while the crowd continues to cheer for the outcome of the reveal, not knowing the plane is crashing just a couple hundred feet behind them.

An aviation expert was able to breakdown what most likely happened to the plane that caused it to have such a catastrophic failure.

Just in the past few years, we've seen mass destruction and multiple deaths caused by gender reveals gone wrong.

Tuscon

In 2017, a 47,000-acre wildfire burned through Arizona south of Tuscon after a gender reveal party involving Tannerite - an explosive target compound - which set fire to the field it was in (and a chunk of southern Arizona.

Knoxville, Iowa

In 2019, a 56-year-old Knoxville, Iowa woman was killed by a gender reveal explosion involving a makeshift pipebomb that spread shrapnel across the party-goers.

A statement was released by the Marion Sheriff's Office, stating “Our investigation showed that members of the Kreimeyer family were experimenting with different types of explosive material on Friday and Saturday in an attempt to record a gender reveal that could be posted on social media for friends and family. On Saturday afternoon five family members and the expectant mother gathered and placed gunpowder in the bottom of a homemade stand that was welded to a metal base plate. A hole had been drilled in the side for a fuse, a piece of wood was placed on top of the gunpowder and colored powder was placed on top of the board. Tape was then wrapped over the top of the metal tubing, inadvertently creating a pipe bomb. Instead of the gunpowder shooting the powder out the top of the stand, the stand exploded sending metal pieces flying. One of these metal pieces struck Pamela Kreimeyer in the head causing instant death. She was standing with other family members approximately 45 feet from the device. It’s believed that the projectile that struck the victim then continued another 144 yards through the air coming to rest in a field.”

El Dorado Fire

In September of 2020, another wildfire was caused by a gender reveal in San Bernardino County by a “smoke-generating pyrotechnic device”. In the battle of the fire that burned 24,000 acres, a firefighter died, and 12 other non-fatal injuries.

Liberty, New York

The father-to-be, Christopher Penky, in a gender reveal was killed in February 2021 when the contraption he and his brother were building in a Liberty, New York garage suddenly exploded. The brother, Michael, was injured. The tragedy was described as a "freak accident."

Caribbean Sea

Two pilots died in a plane crash where a banner plane suffered a catastrophic failure right as the plane passed over the family waiting on the beach. The plane crashed into the water, and neither pilot survived the ordeal.

Burnout Fail

This one was from a few years back, which caused these guys to lose their car due to a fire started by a gender reveal burnout.
