Woman’s High Heel Goes Through Her Foot While Trying To Escape A Spider
TikTok user Alyssa Lambert, had a terrible accident that landed her in the hospital and called for surgery after battling a spider. In this battle, Lambert took the L, as the spider scared her so bad that she accidentally impaled herself.
25-year-old Alyssa Lambert was in her bedroom when she noticed something strange on her ceiling. A dust bunny? No. A dirt stain? No... A SPIDER! AAAAAHHHHH!
Lambert quickly fetched bug spray to kill the spider. She stood on her bed to get as close as she could to target the pest. But as she sprayed the chemicals, the spider got raged and lunged towards her.
Lambert recklessly jumped off the mattress in fear. She landed directly on top of a stray high heel laying on the floor.
Luckily she had a roommate who came to the rescue after hearing Lambert's screams. "I yelled out to my housemate and she called an ambulance. I was in pure shock and shaking - and then the pain started to settle in," she told DailyMail.
The heel was 7 centimeters high and 1.5 centimeters wide (2.75 inches high and .59 inches wide). Doctors later confirmed that 4.5 centimeters (1.77 inches) of the heel was embedded into her left foot. Initially, Lambert asked her roommate to remove the heel from her foot, her roommate refused.
Paramedics arrived at the house and wrapped Lambert's foot and high heel to hold it in place. She was carried into the ambulance and driven to the hospital around 10 pm.
"Everyone at the hospital was just so amazed that I managed to puncture my foot with a heel that thick... They were like: "Well done. You've done a good job." Lambert Said. (DailyMail)
Lambert was taken into surgery later that night to have the heel removed from her foot. Two weeks later her stitches were removed. Lambert should be off crutches in a few days.
Alyssa Lambert is feeling OK and has decided to see the funny side of her horror story. She was humored when the surgeon told her, "This is insane. Please tell me you took photos - you are going to want to remember this story."
Coincidentally, the high heel was a Camilla and Marc shoe, the company Lambert works for. "When I told work, everyone thought it was classic," she said.
