Netflix released data which showed how many episodes it takes for people to get hooked on certain TV shows--with “hooked“ defined as how many episodes 70 percent of a given show’s viewers had to watch before binging on an entire season.

According to Netflix's formula, here’s how many episodes it takes people to get hooked on several popular shows:

Bates Motel: 2
Breaking Bad: 2
House of Cards: 3
Orange Is the New Black: 3
Better Call Saul: 4
Grace and Frankie: 4
Pretty Little Liars: 4
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: 4
Daredevil: 5
Mad Men: 6
Blacklist: 6
How I Met Your Mother: 8

A lot depends on the quality of the show, to be honest. And a few bad eps in a row mean the binging could just stop (looking at you, House Of Cards, for killing off Kate Mara). I've seen every HOC, but season 1 has been by far the best; Season 4 coming soon has got to step it up. I'm sure my Netflix viewing habits confuse the hell out of them

Some other shows, based on my own personal algorithm on how many episodes of a show I need to see to get hooked:

The Muppets: 1
Anything that has NFL anything in it: 0
Empire: 1
Nashville: 4
Big Bang Theory: 14 reruns on TBS but I love it now
You're The Worst: the trailer, seriously check out this show on FXX, it's terrific
