Iowa Dad Wins Big Money On Wheel Of Fortune

Waukee resident Kurt Zimmermann picked-up a five-figure victory Monday on Wheel of Fortune. The father of three, who works as the director of information technology at Principal Financial Group, scored $11,450, all in cash.

He got on the show after attending a Wheelmobile event in Osceola. Zimmermann heard back within three or four weeks of auditioning that he made it as a contestant on Wheel. Zimmermann is an Iowa State Cyclones fan, and said that he enjoyed the experience, but what was most surprising to him was how fast-paced the game is.

With his new found cash, Zimmermann says he'd like to do some family traveling to Mexico or California.
