Four 13-year-old middle school students from Burlington are facing criminal charges after cops broke up their plans to bake marijuana-laced cookies during a home economics class.

Officials at Edward Stone Middle School in Burlington contacted police this week after learning from other pupils that “marijuana was being distributed on the campus and was being utilized as a cooking ingredient in Home Economics classes.”

The marijuana had been placed inside cookie dough that was set to be baked in class this past Wednesday. According to police the dough was stored overnight Tuesday, but never made it to the Home Ec. ovens.
