Super Bowl Sunday is one of the biggest days of the year in entertainment. There's a bunch of really expensive, usually funny or emotional commercials, a highly produced half time show... oh, and a football game. Family and friends gather in living rooms and bars across America to view it. In fact, over 98.2 million people tuned in to watch it in 2019 alone. This year the Kansas City Chiefs will take on the San Franciso 49ers for the Vince Lombardi trophy at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.

Iowans have no skin in the game, since we don't have a team. But, with many Iowans cheering for the Packers, some Vikings and Bears and even  a large number for the Chiefs, where does that leave allegiances for the game Sunday?

Over 4,000 adults were polled to find out who they are rooting for during Sunday's big game, and 33 states are hoping for a win from the Chiefs, Iowa being one of them.

Now it gets a little dicier when you split the genders... Iowa men are pulling in larger number for the 49ers. But this wasn't enough to offset the total, and the edge still goes the of the Chiefs.

The 49ers did knock out both the Packers and Vikings in the divisional round so it would make sense if you wanted them taken out on football's biggest stage. Start practicing your Tomahawk Chop, folks the game is Sunday on FOX.
