The San Miguel Sheriff's Office says a 23-year-old was seriously hurt after being ejected from a rollover crash.

The woman was in a Jeep with a 22-year-old male friend. When they were driving a switchback, he turned off the engine, applied the emergency brake and exited the vehicle to help direct a driver around the switchback. It was then that the vehicle started rolling away. The male tried to jump in the vehicle to apply the brake, but he was thrown onto the rocks when it was off the road.

Luckily for the woman, she was also thrown from the vehicle before it made it's full tumble down multiple switchbacks, but she was still seriously injured.

The incident was caught on video by another Jeep on a switchback below.
