Fair goers at the Mississippi Valley Fair were in for a shocking night when event officials announced that the August 4th concert had been cancelled.

At around 7:00 PM on Thursday evening the news broke that Jimmie Allen would not be arriving in Davenport for his scheduled show.

Concert officials said in a Facebook post that night,

"Due to technical difficulties Jimmie Allen is stuck in Pennsylvania, and his show is cancelled tonight. We're sorry for the short notice, but we hope to see you all tomorrow night for Carly Pearce."

And by "technical difficulties" they actually meant issues with Allen's airline.

The Delaware native posted a video on Twitter expressing his experience that day with American Airlines, and he was NOT happy.

"American Airlines...American Airlines...didn't your parents teach you that communication is key?" the CMA Award winner said.

"Now because of you guys, I got a bunch of country music fans that was at the fair tonight in Davenport that don't have a concert."

The 'Freedom Was A Highway' singer's band and crew were already in Davenport by the time the concert was supposed to get underway.

"I'm trying to figure out which department gonna write me a check and reimburse these fans who paid for a concert," said the angry country singer "...because I still gotta pay my band and crew."

Allen boarded the flight at around 2:30 PM Thursday afternoon, and claims that they had to wait on the plane for two and a half hours. The delay was apparently due to a storm that made its way through Pennsylvania.

Jimmie said in the video that he had only missed two shows in his entire career, and both of these absences were because he "fooled with y'all suckers!"
