While Jordan Bohannon has played his last game in an Iowa Hawkeye uniform, it turns out the former Linn-Mar prep will be playing the sport he loves in front of fans in his home state for a bit longer.

The former Iowa stat has signed on to play in the NBA G League and the Iowa Wolves, according to the Cedar Rapids Gazette. Iowa is the G League affiliate for the NBA's Minnesota Timberwolves. Their season tips off in Des Moines on November 5th.

Bohannon, who wrapped up his career at Iowa in March, ranks as one of the all-time great Hawkeyes. He is the program's career leader in assists and is the all-time Big Ten leader in 3-point shots. Bohannon averaged 11 points for Iowa last year, and 11.4 for his Hawkeye career. How will his game translate to the G League and the NBA? Time will tell. But he has the chance of taking the court with another former Hawkeye and teammate.

Former Iowa All-American center Luka Garza is currently with the Minnesota Timberwolves at their training camp, according to the Gazette. Garza scored 10 points for the T'Wolves in a preseason game against the Lakers. If Minnesota keeps Garza on the roster but simply doesn't have room on their NBA roster for him, he could re-team with Bohannon on the G League team in Des Moines. Not necessarily what either player wants right now, but it certainly would be fun for Hawkeye fans.
