Future Hall-of-Famer George Brett hits a potentially game-winning Home Run for the Royals, but it was nullified after the umpires found that the pine tar was more than 18" up the bat handle. The call was later reversed, the game was continued a few weeks later, and the Royals ended up beating the Yankees.
