In commemoration of Veterans Day many local businesses have discounts and free items for veterans.

• All Hy-Vee stores with in-store dining are offering free breakfast for military veterans from 7 to 11 a.m.
• Casey's General Stores will be offering free coffee for all Veterans.
• Barmuda Companies will thank all military veterans and active-duty service members with a free meal while dining at any Barmuda Restaurant in Cedar Falls, Waterloo and Grinnell. Barmuda's participating restaurants in Cedar Falls include: Beck's Sports Grill - 2210 College Street; Beck's Sports Grill - 2512 White Tail Dr.; Bourbon Street - 314 Main Street; Ferrari's Ristorante - 1521 Technology Parkway; Soho Sushi Bar & Deli - 119 Main Street; The Stuffed Olive - 117 Main Street.
