Snoopy, Spongebob, Charlie Brown. What do these characters all have in common? They all come in gigantic balloon form, by way of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Unfortunately, this year we may not see our beloved balloon friends due to inclimate weather.

"A forecast of high winds and strong gusts of wind for Thursday could put the famous giant balloons of various characters on the sidelines due to New York City regulations that stipulate the balloons cannot be flown if sustained winds exceed 23 mph and gusts exceed 34 mph", according to an article in Today. The producers of the parade are taking a "wait and see" approach, as the 93rd annual parade always brings in massive TV ratings, thanks in part to the balloons. Even with the high winds and unideal temperatures, the parade is set to go on with or without the characters.
