Maddie Poppe Will Perform A Free Show At the Iowa State Fair
Iowa musician and 'American Idol' winner Maddie Poppe will be the first of many free attractions that will be featured at the Iowa State Fair this August. She will perform at the Susan Knapp Amphitheater on Thursday, August 8. The show is free with all paid admissions to the Fair.
Poppe, who hails from Clarksville, was the winner of the freshly rebooted "American Idol" in 2018 and is currently promoting her upcoming full-length album on May 17. In February, she released 'First Aid Kit,' the first single from that album. She also shot the music video for her new song 'Not Losing You' locally in Waterloo. Her album 'Whirlwind' just dropped last Friday (May 17th).
A few of the other free attractions at this years Fair include country artist Ned LeDoux, Broadway's Rock of Ages band, another Iowa attraction, The Nadas and Prince tribute band 'The Purple Xperience.'
The Iowa State Fair runs August 8th-18th in Des Moines. We have TONS of tickets to different shows at the Fair this year. Get more info on those.
