Waterloo police have arrested a man on charges connected to a shooting near a local nightclub over two months ago.

Authorities took 28-year-old Kalon Bruce into custody on Wednesday. He's accused of firing shots outside Club Legacy, 120 Sumner St., on March 21 just before 1 AM.

According to police, one man suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the shooting. The 60-year-old victim was shot in the leg, officials said.

A probe of the incident led officers to obtain arrest warrants for Bruce. As part of the investigation, police executed a search warrant at 308 Courtland St. early Wednesday morning. Authorities said they found a .45-caliber handgun during the search.

Bruce was taken to the Black Hawk County Jail, where he was booked on multiple charges. They include: felon in possession of a firearm, intimidation with a dangerous weapon, willful injury and carrying weapons.
