Glen Paul Davis, of Grand Meadow Minnesota passed away at the age of 88 this past weekend. Davis was a school bus driver for the Grand Meadow School System for 55 years. Dubbed "Glennie" by the students he drove, did not occur a single accident for the entirety of his driving tenure. The community wanted to give him a special tribute however.

Davis is set to be laid to rest in a special custom school bus casket, donated by Grand Meadows funeral director, Jim Hindt. While admittingly starting out as joke, Hindt says that the idea to create such a casket quickly grew with love from the locals. Davis was a lifelong farmer who graduated from the very school system that he later became a bus driver for. He was also a fan of the Superlarks sports teams, and would often be seen at local games. 12news.com has the full story.
