Minnesota Vikings Reward 99-Year-Old Fan With Playoff Tickets
Millie Wall has been a Vikings fan for 57 seasons, but has never watched a playoff game in person. That will change this Sunday.
Millie--who has supported the team since its founding in 1961--will be in attendance. In a video posted by her granddaughter, Ashley Wall, Millie opened a letter from the Vikings inviting her to attend her first-ever playoff game:
Dear Mrs. Millie Wall,
We would like to invite you, one of our biggest fans, to attend our playoff game on Sunday. We know you will bring us luck as we enter into this playoff run and hope to bring it home. Thank you for the many years of supporting and cheering on our team and making us part of your life. Enjoy and Skol Vikings!
She didn’t even notice two tickets were waiting below the letter in the box.
Ashley, who will be in attendance with Millie on Sunday when the Vikings take on the New Orleans Saints, said she’s looking forward to sharing the experience with her grandmother.
With two more victories, the Vikings can also accomplish something no other NFL team has ever done--playing in a Super Bowl at their home stadium.
