Nacho Cheese, Trail Of Snacks Lead Iowa Cops To Burglary Suspect
Kids called me "Nacho Cheese" growing up (I was not a fan of the nickname) but I cannot claim credit for this crimebusting in Iowa City.
Police there recently captured a burglary suspect by following a trail of snacks.
Francisco J. Munoz, 20, allegedly used a brick to smash the entry door of Creekside Market and caused $1,000 in damage. He then dropped several snacks and lotto tickets between himself and the convenience store for about 100 yards before being police found him wearing a shirt covered in nacho cheese, carrying two cases of Corona beer and boasting a whopping .270 blood alcohol content.
Munoz has since been charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief and public intoxication.
