Northeast Iowa Teens Charged In Sexting Investigations
Seven Fayette County teenagers from three schools have been connected with a series of crimes involving drugs and sexting.
As reported by CBS 2 Iowa, three North Fayette Valley students were arrested. A 16-year-old boy was accused of third-degree harassment after allegedly possessing and forwarding inappropriate photos of a minor. A 15-year-old girl was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. A 16-year-old female student was charged with sexually exploiting a minor, as well as possession and delivery of a controlled substance.
A 13-year-old male at North Fayette Middle School has been charged with invasion of privacy after taking a photograph of a student in the restroom without their consent.
At Starmont High School, three students were charged. A 15-year-old male was charged with invasion of privacy for taking an inappropriate photograph of a student without their knowledge and third-degree harassment. Another 15-year-old male was charged with third-degree harassment. A 15-year-old female student faces charges of invasion of privacy and third-degree harassment.
