How to view the Nothern Lights in Iowa?

The best way to increase your chances of seeing the lights is to go a few miles outside of town to darker areas that don't have as much light pollution. A farm field is ideal. Then just look north. As far as the best viewing times go, you'll want to wait until 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. when the skies are in their darkest state. Then you'll just need the moon to not be too bright and the weather to cooperate.

Tonight is the night for your best chance to see them. If you do spot them and happen to get a pic. Send it to us in the app!
