Official “Shotgun” Rules On A Road Trip

As I prep myself for the upcoming weekend road trip, my job as the driver is to make sure I deliver my passengers to their destination on-time and safely. The driver of the road trip is the captain of an aircraft. He/she must have a calm demeanor and an unyielding sense of determination to stay focused on the road. Yet, every pilot needs a co-pilot. And like every aircraft, a set of rules for the co-pilot are a must for anyone deemed worthy to ride "shotty".

1). Navigation- YOU are the GPS and you'll be directing traffic flow. You are the eyes and ears around me

2). Night Owl- You are to ALWAYS remain awake during the ride, you will lose your position if you fall asleep

3). Snack Machine- You are the snack dispenser and official food and beverage holder of the car

4). Music Master- YOU ARE IN CHARGE OF ALL MUSIC PLAYED! MAKE A SOLID PLAYLIST

Follow these simple rules and you just might be asked to reclaim your position as my right hand man/woman.
