The 2020 Oscars made history last night, as they presented an award in a way that has never been done before. The first presenter with Down Syndrome made his debut last night.

Zack Gottsagen, along with co-star Shia Labeouf presented the award for the best live-action short film, which went to "The Neighbors Window". Gottsagen, stars alongside Labeouf in The Peanut Butter Falcon a film about a young man with down syndrome chasing his dream of becoming a professional wrestler. Labeouf gives nothing but praise to Gottsagen claiming "He knows about my pain intimately. We’d be sitting there watching wrestling every night. He’d be eating ice cream. I’d be drinking gin. I’d tell him, ‘You gotta stop eating all that ice cream.’ He’d say, ‘You gotta stop drinking that gin."

Labeouf claims that Gottsagen was a major contributor in helping him with the dark time in his life. The two have stayed in regular contact. For the full story click here.
