Pope Francis Releasing A Prog-Rock Album

This may sound like it’s coming straight from an Onion article, but the following is true: Pope Francis has recorded music, and is releasing the album on November 27.

It's called Wake Up!, and it’s already available for pre-order on iTunes, lest you remain unconvinced that this isn’t a spoof.

The Vatican-approved LP is prograssive rock and features the Pontiff delivering sacred hymns and excerpts of his most moving speeches in multiple languages, paired with uplifting musical accompaniment ranging from rock to Gregorian chant.

Rolling Stone premiered the song “Wake Up! Go! Go! Forward!” featuring Pope Francis addressing an audience in English amid atmospheric synths, trumpeting horns and skyscraping electric guitars.
