10 Things You Might Not Know About ‘The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water’

Everyone around the world loves SpongeBob SquarePants and with the recent sequel, even more people could enjoy his adventures. The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water was the first Hollywood movie to ever be translated into the Irish language of Gaelic and SpongeBob - An Scannán: Spúinse as Uisce premiered in Ireland on March 27, 2015. This just one of the facts packed into the latest episode of You Think You Know Movies, which heads to a pineapple under the sea for The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water!

While the original SpongeBob movie included voicework from Scarlett Johansson and Alec Baldwin, the sequel almost featured an appearance from another star who’s a huge fan. Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash is a huge fan of the show, once saying, “The most embarrassing thing would be the amount of cartoons that I watch, including SpongeBob.” He shot a cameo for Sponge Out of Water as a musician (natch), but it was ultimately cut from the film.
