Oelwein Police report a couple of arrests, and are also investigating vandalism and a burglary.

An Oelwein man was arrested early this (Monday) morning, after being identified as a suspicious person by police officers.
At about 1am, while in the 400 block of South Frederick, Oelwein Police checked out a man who was apparently acting suspicious. 24 year old Matthew Moore was taken into custody for a Fayette County warrant for Possession with Intent to Deliver. Moore was also charged by Oelwein Police with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Oelwein Police also arrested a local resident early Sunday, following a traffic stop in the 100 block of 6th Avenue SW. Just before 5am, a vehicle driven by 53 year old Goldie Iseton was pulled over. Iseton was taken into custody for OWI-1st Offense.

And Oelwein Police are investigating a vandalism in the 1,000 block of South Frederick, and a burglary in the 100 block of 12th Avenue NW, that were reported on Friday.
