SUV Accident Near Waverly Sends 4 to Hospital
Four people were taken to the hospital following a rollover accident in Bremer County.
Just before 12:30 a.m. Saturday (July 28), the sheriff's office received a report of a one-vehicle accident on Highway 218 near Waverly.
A sport utility vehicle driven by 28-year-old Bryan Kemper of St. Louis, was northbound on 218, when he fell asleep at the wheel.
The vehicle entered the median; Kemper overcorrected, crossing back over the northbound lanes, which caused the SUV to roll multiple times in the ditch. Kemper and his 3 passengers, all from St. Louis, were taken to the Waverly hospital for treatment.
The accident was investigated by the Bremer County Sheriff; they were assisted by the Waverly Ambulance and Waverly Fire Department.
