So you've decided to get married. First, off congratulations, that's really exciting for you and your growing family. You might have the perfect dress in mind, what color you want the flowers to be, the bridesmaid dresses, the perfect food, all the way down to what color the tuxedos will be. There can be a lot when it comes to planning a wedding including where you are going to tie the knot. Having recently proposed myself it can be overwhelming thinking of all that goes into that special day. There are so many things to try and remember and to check off your list. I want to help make it a little bit easier for you and show you some of the best wedding venues around the Waterloo and Cedar Falls areas.

Elks Club

The Elks club appears to do it all. They have so many photos on yelp from previous weddings. They offer bartender services, ceremonies, holiday parties, and weddings, just to name a few. "Clean and spacious" according to one reviewer. The area where the bride and groom stand, really stands out to me. They're on a raised platform (only a few steps high) which allows everyone to see the happy couple. It has a very intimate feel while also being able to host large gatherings of 300+ people.

Cedar Falls Woman's Club House

Here's a club you'll want to be in. This is a "beautiful Victorian home Built in 1867." A ballroom that holds over 125 people, 4 fireplaces, and a bridal suite. I also really like reading this place is also known as The House of Friendship. How could you go wrong getting married at a place known for friendship?

The Hidden Acre

This venue is actually located in Waverly and this place looks huge! This looks like the perfect place for someone who is planning a bigger wedding as it can hold 300+ people. There is a plenty of room for a lot of tables for your guests. I'm personally a big fan of the staircase inside. It would be a great place to get photos with the wedding party. You can also have your ceromony inside or outside of the building.

Sunnyside Country Club

If either the bride or groom is a golfer, I don't see why you couldn't sneak a round in before you say I do. I'm sure my fiance would love that... If you go to the website you can actually click the Explore 3D Space button and take a look around before you even leave your house. They also have an Event Coordinator to help with all of your plans/ideas. The stone bridge they have on location will for sure end up in your wedding photos. "With our beautiful clubhouse and exquisite golf course as a backdrop, there may be no better location in the Cedar Valley to host a special event." according to this website.

The Black Hawk Hotel

Whether looking on tripadvisor, the knot, or yelp, this place has incredible reviews. Multiple five out of five star reviews and four and a half out of five on yelp. The location is what stands out to me. If you want to stay right downtown Cedar Falls, The Black Hawk Hotel is located right on main street. If you want to have a fun night after your reception, you can keep the party going as the Black Hawk Hotel is within walking distance to many other bars and restaurants.

Planning a wedding can be a lot and it can be very overwhelming if you let it. After going through the beginning stages of planning on myself, finding a location first makes everything easier. Click any of these links provided and take a look at these amazing locations for yourself.
