The COVID-19 pandemic is not over yet, but most area businesses have now either been reopen in some capacity or, they have the option to reopen. One such business is the Isle Casino in Waterloo. They reopened a couple of days ago, but to comply with the governors orders and basic safety, a few things are different.

First off, no table games. It's impossible to be 6-feet away from the dealer or other players. The Isle's official Facebook confirmed this in an exchange with a patron. They say they are looking into ways to safely bring back table games like Black Jack. In the meantime, there's electronic options.

Another big change, if you are itching to gamble at 3 a.m., right now, you're out of luck. During the current coronavirus period we're in, the Isle's hours (as per their Facebook page) are 8:00 am - Midnight Sunday through Thursday, and 8:00 am - 2:00 am Friday and Saturday. The casino says they'll be using the overnight hours for a nightly deep cleaning in addition. They also say they're doing more cleaning and sanitizing throughout the day for the safety and health of their customers.

Another item to note, the pool remains closed for hotel guests as well. No timeline on a possible re-open was given.
