Thanksgiving is a time when most of us seek out family. We may regret it after they're at the house for 20 minutes, but it's the thought that counts, right?

With Thanksgiving being very late this year, November 28, that can only increase the chances of bad to severe winter weather, right?

Thanksgiving Travel in Iowa

With the holiday fast approaching, I thought we could look at the Farmer's Almanac to see what the prediction is, just like our friends in Minnesota did.

Consulting the Almanac, I was pleasantly surprised to see what is expected to shake out.

According to the Farmer's Almanac, it will be very mild in the Midwest, including her in Iowa:

There should be a fair amount of sunshine from the Upper Midwest over to most of the East Coast. Travel weather should generally be pretty good in the days leading up to festivities with fairly mild or cool (but not frigid) conditions.

Are you excited to see the fam in a couple of weeks? If you were hoping for a blizzard because the answer is "no", I'm sorry to say your chances seem very low.
