Twitter Employee Fired By Notification On His Twitter Mobile App

Modern technology has dehumanized us, you will probably say. We break up with people by text or email, we dump mall our dirty laundry on Facebook, so this isn't too surprising.

Twitter laid off a bunch of people, and in this day and age, this is how one finds out they have been fired from a social media comapny:

Bart does some to Twitter's defense (kind of) to say they tried to call him and left a voice mail first but he saw the push notification on his phone before he accessed his voice mail.

Who leaves voice mail anymore? I mean, at this point, where everybody texts and nobody wants to make actual phone calls, why do we even call those devices "phones" anymore?

I will come to Twitter's defense, though.

Nowadays, there are some clearly unstable people. These people not only have access to weapons (but that whole gun thing is a completely different discussion) but these unstable people have access to social media. They can display that instability by pulling a Snowden and divulging God-knows-what.

You can't let them back into the office. That's why it may look "cold" to just box up dude's stuff and have it for him at reception, so nobody goes Jerry Maguire in front of everyone stealing fish and poaching cute blonde female employees.
