The COVID-19 pandemic certainly is not slowing down despite many businesses reopening in recent weeks. It has hit certain segments of the population hard, particularly senior citizens. In this case however, it's hit a daycare facility in the Cedar Valley.

The Courier reports Happy Time Preschool and Daycare, which is a part of Cedar Valley Church on Ansborough Avenue in Waterloo, has had two students and three staff members test positive for coronavirus. Following recommendations from the health department, the daycare will shut down for two weeks. A letter sent to parents stated all parents should self isolate their children for two full weeks and not send them to another childcare facility during that isolation period.

If you feel you or your child needs a COVID-19 test in the wake of this news, remember that they're free and simple to get. The TestIowa site at the Crossroads Mall parking lot is set to remain open all this week. You do have to sign up prior to going to the testing site.
