A major round of winter weather is headed our way. A strong winter storm will bring snow and bitter cold temperatures this weekend.

Snow will move into the area late Friday morning and become widespread by the afternoon. Forecasters are predicting snowfall totals between 5" to 9". Strong winds could also lead to blowing snow, poor visibility & dangerous driving conditions.

According to CBS 2, arctic air will follow the snow and surge into eastern Iowa late Saturday, with temperatures bottoming out below zero Sunday morning. Wind chills are expected to between -10° to -15°. Click HERE for the latest forecast.
