More women are starting to cut back on the food they eat in order to indulge in their favorite alcoholic beverages -- a problem that’s been dubbed “drinkorexia.“

“Displaying calorie content on alcoholic drinks has been counterproductive for a small but significant proportion of society,“ psychiatrist Adrienne Key tells The Daily Mail. “People who have not eaten will say, “I’m saving myself for a glass of wine”.

Medical experts add that while “drinkorexia“ is not an eating disorder itself, it does entail a “disordered approach towards eating“ and that people should be concerned about the greater impact booze has when consumed on an empty stomach.

See that? You don't have a drinking problem.......you're dieting!
