2021 Iowa High School Softball Rankings – Poll 2
The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union has released the second poll of the season.
This week's rankings for five teams from northeast Iowa, along with four new top-rated squads.
Defending state champion Clarksville (4-2) is ranked at No. 12 in the Class 1A survey, down two spots from last week's inaugural poll. Turkey Valley (2-0) is ranked directly behind the Indians at No. 13. A successful start to the season earned North Butler (4-1) a No. 14 ranking.
The top-ranked team in Class 1A is Newell-Fonda. Among the five teams that led each class last week, the Mustangs (8-1) are the only that kept their No. 1 ranking.
The new leaders this week are: Central Springs (Class 2A), Davenport Assumption (Class 3A), Dallas Center-Grimes (Class 4A) and Muscatine (Class 5A).
The other northeast Iowa teams featured among the top 15 are ranked in the 4A poll. West Delaware (2-1) fell seven spots from No. 2 to No. 10 and Charles City moved down three spots from No. 9 to No. 12.
