Many Iowa businesses are about to get back to work. According to KCRG, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds issued a new order that "eased some of the coronavirus-related restrictions in the state." Many places that had to close their doors before, will be be opening up shop tomorrow--with restrictions, of course.

One of the places opening their doors is retailer Von Maur. KCRG reports that Von Maur has announced they will reopen their stores at College Square in Cedar Falls, Cedar Rapids at Lindale Mall, and the Iowa River Landing in Coralville location tomorrow. Not everything is back to normal though. The stores will have reduced hours (Monday-Saturday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday noon to 6 p.m.) and will be "implementing daily employee health screenings, social distancing measures, contactless payments, curbside service options and sanitizing and cleaning procedures in common areas after each customer transaction," according to the KCRG.There's no telling when exactly these new procedures and guidelines will no longer be necessary, but the changes will take effect at 5 a.m. on Friday, May 8.

Retailers like Von Maur aren't the only places reopening tomorrow. The Governor also proclaimed that public and private campgrounds, drive-in movie theaters, some dental care providers, and tanning salons can reopen. However, they must continue to follow the hygiene, social distancing, and safety procedures per the state guidelines.

Despite these lifted restrictions and openings, there remains a lot of business that are still under orders to stay closed. KCRG reports that those businesses include bars, casinos, social clubs, amusements, adult care facilities, salons, and more. We will continue to keep you updated as more information arises.
