Wartburg keeps winning and climbing closer to the top of the Division III college football polls.

The Knights (6-0 overall, 4-0 ARC) have moved into the top 10 of the American Football Coaches Association rankings for the first time this season. Wartburg jumped from No. 11 to No. 9 in this week's survey, which was released Monday afternoon.

Coach Rick Willis' team climbed four spots in this week's d3football.com poll, also released Monday. In the new survey, the Knights jumped from No. 18 to No. 14.

Wartburg dominated Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday. The Knights won their eighth-straight Homecoming game, beating the Prairie Wolves 61-7 at Walston-Hoover Stadium in Waverly.

Senior quarterback Noah Dodd of Janesville tied a school record with five touchdowns passes, while throwing for a career-high 245 yards. It marked only the 10th time in program history that a Wartburg quarterback tossed five TD  passes in a single game.

On Monday, the American Rivers Conference (ARC) named Wartburg's Will Hasken Special Teams Player of the Week. The senior defensive back from Miles returned a blocked punt 40 yards for a touchdown and recorded three tackles in the win.

The Knights return to action Saturday, when they travel to Indianola to take on Simpson.
