
East Iowa Man Dies in I-380 Accident
Icy roads are being sited as a factor in a deadly crash in Johnson County early this morning (Wednesday, Jan. 3)
.
It happened at about 1am today, at the 8 mile marker of Interstate 380, just south of Swisher.
A car driven by 65-year-old Randall Martin of North Liberty, slid off the road due to snow or ice on the pavement. The car went into a ditch, where it rolled onto it's top. Martin was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident was investigated by the Iowa State Patrol, Johnson County Sheriff, and Swisher Fire Department.
