The Fayette County Sheriff continues to report traffic accidents involving deer.
The latest occurred last (Monday) night, just before 8pm, on Kornhill Road, just south of Wadena. A Volkswagen Beetle, driven by 35 year old Summer Zwanziger of Strawberry Point, was eastbound, when she struck a deer in the road. No one as injured, but there was $1,500 in damages.

An Edgewood motorist is being charged with causing a two-vehicle accident between Arlington and Lamont. It happened just before 4pm Monday at the intersection of Highway 187 and 10th Street. 68 year old Burdette Romig of Edgewood was driving east, when he attempted to cross the highway, and struck a vehicle driven by 24 year old Aaron Zitelman of Strawberry Point. No one was injured, and both vehicles had minor damage. Romig is being charged with failure to yield the right of way.

And the Fayette County Sheriff is investigating an accident from Sunday, that happened on Main Street in Elgin. 80 year old Patricia Smith of Elgin was backing out of a driveway, when, at the same time, 51 year old David West of Elgin was backing out of a driveway across the street. The vehicles collided, causing about $1500 in damage. No injuries were reported.
